Yes, anytime. Your free listing stays exactly as it is. When you upgrade, you get the full suite: calendar, client records, session notes, video sessions, payments, clinical will, and more.

All data is stored on UK/EU servers. We use encrypted storage at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Clinical data is stored separately from directory data for additional security.

Yes. hoito was built for UK GDPR from day one. We process clinical data under Article 9(2)(h) — health professional basis. We maintain a consent ledger, support data subject access requests, and have clear retention policies.

Yes. You can export everything: clients, session notes, bookings, and invoices — all in CSV format. Export anytime from your account settings. If you cancel, we recommend exporting before your account closes.

Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your account. After entering your password, you'll need a code from an authenticator app on your phone. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA, especially for accounts with clinical data.

Yes. All paid plans are monthly rolling with no long-term contracts. Cancel with immediate effect — you'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.

No. We charge zero commission on room bookings or client payments. If you use Stripe for payments, their standard fees apply (typically 1.5% + 20p for UK cards).

We accept card payments via Stripe. Direct debit is coming soon. All subscriptions are billed monthly unless you choose annual billing (save 17%).

Yes. 1:1 video sessions are included at no extra cost on plans with video support, including trainee accounts. No additional software needed — it works in any modern browser.

hoito uses LiveKit for secure, high-quality video. Sessions are encrypted end-to-end. Clients click a link in their booking confirmation — no downloads, no registration required. Works on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

No. Video sessions are unlimited and included free on all plans — no per-minute charges, no caps. Use as many video minutes as you need.
